Before starting at Fujitsu in 2019, I worked for 8 years in the hotel and restaurant industry. During that time I was simultaneously studying. I first graduated as a Bachelor in Hospitality Management, before pursuing a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration.
I applied to Fujitsu for the Executive Assistant/Management Graduate role and started in August 2019 in the Product Nordic organization. The role was a great place to see how the organization works from the management’s perspective. I got to travel and meet our colleagues in the Nordics and the daily work allowed me to work with colleagues across Europe. The graduate program includes modules that introduce us different aspects of business and e.g. about our personal brand. In 2020, I got the opportunity to be part of developing internal operations in my Service Process Lead position. That year was challenging for all of us, due to Covid, of course. So, both work and the graduate modules were carried out remotely.
In 2020, I learned that I was expecting our first child. This was happy news but of course made me nervous about how everything would work out. My manager and all the colleagues were delighted to hear the news. So, the support I felt at work was wonderful. I spent about 11 months on my maternity/parental leave before returning to work this February 2022. During Autumn 2021 I talked with my manager and we agreed that now would be a great time for me to embark in a new role. And here we are. I now work as a Solution Sales Lead in the Product Service unit and I’m excited for all the new things I get to learn about.
